Our fortnightly soccer game

If you think we at IAHGames are all geeks and gaming freaks, think again! Well, at least we’re geeks who can rough it up like anyone else.

Sports and physical games are commonplace here. There are activities organized by groups of colleagues, departments or even on a company-wide scale. To date we have regular sessions for table tennis, paintball, cage soccer, and good old-fashioned soccer on the field.

CEO Roland Ong himself is very passionate about soccer. While he was establishing the online games industry in China, he brought the Inter-Company Championship Cup to his former organization, personally leading his team to victory.

One of IAHGames’ directors, Zhu Jun, who is also CEO of The9 Limited, one of China’s biggest online game companies, owns majority shares in China’s number one football club, Shanghai Shenhua. Also a football fanatic, Zhu intends to consolidate the best of China’s football stars (Mr Zhu already owns another top football team, Lian Cheng) and take on the footballing world.

If this isn’t like playing a football manager game in real life, I don’t know what is!
