There’s nothing like Christmas as an excuse to party. At IAHGames, it’s a pathological habit!
X’mas at IAHGames begins early. Weeks before Christmas Eve, our office is always all spruced up in the spirit of things. Never mind that it never snows in Singapore.
For our party last year in 2009, we made sure there was a place for both games and grub. And what a buffet it was. There was so much food that many staff didn’t have the chance to try all the dishes.
At times like this, IAHGames staffers really translate their creativity to real-life. Whether our games are the stuff of Taiwan variety shows or perversions from hell, you decide. All we can say is, there were beans stuck on faces, people wrestling one another for chairs, and tons of laughs.
If there’s one thing you can’t fault IAHGames, it’s the prizes we give out at parties. Game consoles and gaming hardware are standard fare; the first prize winner in the lucky draw walked away with a brand new 42-inch TV!
Coupled with the fabulous prizes, we also held our own voting exercise, Oscars-style, for staff who are the most babe-licious, hunky, cheerful, and such flattering categories.
Did we mention we also play Secret Santa here? That’s when you are assigned a colleague to buy a gift for, randomly; and someone else will be buying you a gift. You wouldn’t know who is buying you a present.
Some IAHGames employees take their gift-giving very seriously, and go to great length to find out exactly what the recipient likes. Why, one person even made his/her recipient seek out the gift, Mission-Impossible style. The recipient received a mysterious voice recording, had to utter a password to an assigned colleague ‘mole’, and pick up the present at a designated location.
But as you already know, the line between games and real life can get blurry at IAHGames…
