Our GG (Gamer Girl) for July is Stella Lim, who is extremely active in both the virtual world and the real world. She knows the importance of healthy gaming, and even believes in online relationships. How can you not like someone like that??

I am just an average gal who loves to smile and bring happiness to people around me. I can be really outgoing, bubbly and active all the time. Being humble and sociable is always my first policy. Usually, friends know me as a chatterbox as I really hate silence... it’s the feeling of emptiness.

I would want to run my own business some day. Being an independent career woman and running in my own social circle will boost my confidence. I like being in control of what I do and hate repeating a routine job every day. With my own business, I can brainstorm my own ideas and think out of the box, learning as many things as I can along the way.

Part and Parcel

I love travelling, shopping, gaming, food hunting, dolling up, photography and chilling around with friends till late at night. Hanging out with my friends and family makes me happy.

When in-game, the things that make me happy are leveling, completing quests, and chatting or simply hanging out with my in-game friends.

What upsets me? The part and parcel of life, having to do with  friendship, work, school, family and relationship problems. They give me much unhappiness and anger, but I know they're unavoidable.

In-game experiences can upset me too, like failing in my gear refinement and accidently destroying them, as well as disagreements with in-game friends.

 

I Play Priest

 I begin gaming in 2006 with my real-life friends, who introduced to me to MMO games.

My favourite game is Dragonica! Having the cute characters in their matching outfits with cute emotions just simply attracts me to it. The game and skill graphics are really nice, with amazing effects. Though its gameplay is quite similar to Maple Story, Dragonica is easier to handle and much more addictive. I enjoy questing, hunting, player-versus-player matches and just hanging around with my guildmates. I have met many friendly and great people through Dragonica.

I have played quite a few MMOs games such as Pirate King Online, Ragnarok Online, Hello Kitty Online, and Maple story. These games are similar in one way or another, but each has its own quirk that will attract certain players.

I will play as a Priest if I can (generally in MMOs), as she has the skills closest to a real-life doctor. That’s a childhood ambition of mine, to be a doctor. The Priest in-game is known to heal, buff, revive friends and protect them from danger. Being helpful and caring is what I like to do!

See the Real World!

I’m very active in outdoor activities like marathons, cycling, swimming, badminton, yachting, canoeing and jet-skiing. I also love dancing, shopping, clubbing, chilling at coffeehouses and pubs, and hanging out in town. Besides gaming, I watch TV dramas, surf the internet and edit pictures. Yeah that's a lot of stuff!

Depending on how you look at things, there is always fun in everything we do. We can’t possibly game 24 hours a day! If we do that we will not be aware of what’s happening in the real world!

Gamer Guys are such Sweet Talkers

I do have a soft spot for cute and tanned guys. And guys who game always have this cool attitude about them and are super sweet-talkers, which makes them a pretty special breed. Haha!

Dates with Animals = Good!

My most memorable date should be going to the zoo as I really love animals! I'm lucky so far because non of my dates have been boring or disastrous.

Yes, I do have an in-game relationship and I do trust in-game players, but of course you don’t trust them 100% when you first interact – only until you know them better. Wouldn’t want to date a person of the same gender as you. Haha!

I think that in-game marriages and relationships are pretty creative! They let us meet and understand the opposite gender. If you are single it can be a good chance for your relationship to blossom in real-life. I do have friends who met their partners through games and are doing well since both parties have the same passion: gaming!
