This month’s Gamer Girl think’s it’s perfectly okay for good Christian girls to play decapitate and maim their way through violent games. Meet Celine Lee, whose life is pretty colourful in- and outside gaming. By the way she hates her Chinese full name, and promised to do something nasty to us if we dared publish it. *Shudder*

“I’ll slice you where it hurts!”
Looking past appearances
I'm a pretty complex character and like everyone, have gone through many rough patches in life…
Without going in too deep, the simple things that make me happy really aren't about making money or shopping and wasting it all away. I am happy giving my time and resources to help others and seeing them happy. I'm happy being with someone and starting a new phase in life.
What pisses me? When people don't take the time to see you for who you are, and jump to conclusions without first trying to understand both sides. It upset me when sometimes I should know better and I still do stupid things, or react too quickly to situations.
Tekken my heart away
I have a love-hate relationship with gaming. While I love the action and stimulation, it takes up a lot of time.
Like most people at that time (oh dear.... I'm revealing my age now), I started playing Super Mario Bros. I graduated to Tekken when my best friend introduced it to me. He was a contender in the Singapore Tekken Tournament and I just loved it. Tekken wasn't just about winning, but it was about doing it artfully as well. I still play it to this day. LOL.
The only other two games that I since played is World of Warcraft and Left 4 Dead. I hate L4D2 by the way, too many things going on and just can't identify with the characters, I mean...how does anyone identify with a conman?
Not a geek…not one bit
When not gaming, I go horse-riding, swimming, blading, reading and writing. I like spending time reading Christian books and the bible. Yes, I know people are thinking, “Christian gal playing violent video games....how shocking!”
Hey, we ‘good Christian girls’ are not all boring! We live by the spirit and not by the law. It's not like I play video games and then think of the people I want to kill…
Some day, I’d like to work as a youth counsellor (sometimes we never grow up) and be active in children's ministry.
This isn't dateline, boys
Generally, I like smart and spirit-filled guys with a good sense of humour. I can't say I have a general impression of gamer guys. It really depends on the game.
Those who play for hours and hours - like MMORPGs (WoW), are usually going through a bad stage in their life and they're running away from reality at that time because it's just too painful or something. I know...I was there!
My most memorable date with a guy? We went on a getaway to Malaysia to go horseback-riding and watch the sunset. My birthday present was a yellow CD folder that had a collection of songs. Each laminated page contained the lyrics to the songs on the CD and each page had a special note highlighting the important verses in the song.
The most touching verse was ‘You can't go further than my heart can go.'
Virtual relationships with nerds pretending to be jocks. Game or no game?
I personally think in-game relationships are dumb. If you won't be in a relationship with a stranger in real life, why should you be in one virtually? The concept of a relationship is precious and you're precious.
On the other hand, you'll be surprised how much you can tell about someone just from the way they game and interact with other players. You can trust some players in-game… depending on the way they talk and play.
But still, relationships? Pretty dumb idea.
Do I have a Facebook, twitter or blog?
Don't wish to be pimped thank you very much.

Thanks for your time.
Since you and I don't want to be [censored]ed, I wonder how we can continue our conversations in private?
