Hands up, those of you who own a mobile phone and are not afraid to use it! How would you like to win some cool cash with your cellular creations watched and appreciated by millions, your name echoing in the pantheons of history? (Okay, I’ve slightly exaggerated here…)

Good! Then you’re already a step towards winning a share of USD 2,000! The Asian Academy of Film and Television, or AAFT, will be having their 3rd International Film Festival on Cell Phone Cinema at Marwah Studios, India, and everyone with a mobile phone is welcome to join!

This festival aims to promote budding young talents like yourself via this widely-accessible and most economically-viable platform: the mobile phone, giving you the opportunity to unleash your creativity upon the world.  Now how does that sound? Cinema created and viewed in the palm of your hand, that is all-encompassing, affordable and fun to boot!

The process to participate is simple: First, whip out your mobile phone and choose from one of the three available categories which most appeal to your artistic soul;

1. Fiction / Music Video – Storytellers and aspiring MTV Directors, this could be your big break!
2. Reality / Electronic News Gathering – that latest mobile phone video of your pet dog talking could very well be THE biggest scoop of the century!
3. Still Image – now where was that oddly-shaped tree branch with a “For Rent” sign hanging on it…

Next, submit your entries by uploading them on http://www.batchbuzz.com or via CD sent to the festival office - Marwah Studio, FC 14/15, Film City, Sector 16A, Noida 201301, U.P., India. Oh, and the LAST DATE of submission falls on the 15th of January 2010. No use making the world’s-best-mobile-phone-video-ever if you do not submit it on time!

Did I mention that the total pool of prize money is an awesome USD 2,000?
