Greetings and good day, ladies and gentlemen. I bring you the last Taco News before IAHGames.com's revamp...

Taco says Hi too!

Today, we mourn for the passing of a friend. A companion who has been with us through thick and thin. A pal who witnessed our every meteoric rise and the following plummet. The partner who listens to each and every update we post, when nobody else bothered to read.

On March 15th, Facebook will shut down.

And it was so young *sniff*

According to ‘highly reputable and always accurate’ tabloid sensation Weekly World News, Mark Zuckerberg (head honcho of the social networking site, and main character in 2010’s supposedly best movie) has announced that Facebook will be shut down on 15th March 2011.

His reason? Managing the website has become too stressful.

As pictured above

In a supposed news conference held by Zuckerberg, he claims that Facebook has spiraled out of control, and the stress of managing the company has ruined his life – which he strongly feels that he would need to put an end to. Something like a rabid pet which has gone rogue and begun eat all your furniture, except this rabid pet pumps out billions of dollars for fun.

Now imagine that it passes out wads of cash on the other end

So, by the given date, all your photos, details and stuff you’ve posted on Facebook will be deleted together with the thousand hours of your life which you’ll never get back. But hey! Think on the bright side! At least finally you’ll be able to see the sun, and meet friends you've not seen in person for years. You get to see Mom and Dad after so many years since the last time you emerged from the basement. And finally, you don’t have to worry about those mysterious crates in your restaurant or some shady figure stealing your vegetables from your farm!

Or really cute mice stealing your cheese

The internet community has been divided in response to this tragic news. One half rejoiced over the impending end and relishes the opportunity to getting their spare time back. The other half bemoaned over how tragic a loss it would be to lose their social hangout place, a place where they share stuff with the world. The remaining half outright called the story bull, and dismissed it as a hoax. (wait, half and half and half is..)

For the time being, let’s all get together and wish an old friend good bye before it leaves us forever.

Ok, I admit. It turns out that the news isn’t real. A prank by Weekly World News over the weekend was picked up by the internet community and was re-twittered, re-blogged, re-stratus updated and re-flamed so extensively that the news somehow was perceived as real. Feeling better? Your City is safe, your Crops are safe, and you can still find a stray cow on your farm safely.

..maybe not

Yes, even on official Facebook’s Facebook page they posted: “We didn't get the memo about shutting down, so we'll keep working away like always. We aren't going anywhere; we're just getting started.” So no worries then Facebook addicts! Your favorite site isn’t going anywhere! BUT there is a lesson to be learnt here. Do Not Trust Everything On The Internet. Unless it comes from me.

Till sometime in the faraway future, I bid my very few readers good-bye and take care!
